Frequently asked questions
We have answers.
Do I have to make custom products to benefit from Toolkit3D?
No, Toolkit3D’s order management platform can streamline digital manufacturing workflows, custom or not. Connecting products from order creation to production is what we do best.
Can you work with printers that are not Carbon?
Yes! Toolkit3D is an agnostic solution. While we are extremely proud to be Carbon’s trusted integration partner, it doesn’t limit us from working with other popular printers, like SLA, SLS, FDM, MJF, DMLS -- or other ways of manufacturing like CNC and milling. You name it, we can probably connect to it.
What makes your platform “secure and compliant?”
Our encrypted database and storage follows the requirements for GDPR compliance: we only collect necessary data and have strict retention policies. We limit access to data, granting different levels of access to different users, based on that user’s requirements. And most important, our Workflow Management Module ensures that all input and output data is cleared immediately after uploading, to protect customer and consumer data.
What if I don’t already have a scanning solution?
If an on-prem scanning solution is what you need, we are happy to suggest hardware and kiosk solutions that fit your individual needs.
Can you integrate with XYZ software?
We can easily connect to almost any 3rd party software cloud-to-cloud with APIs or CLIs.
Do you provide training for the Toolkit3D platform?
Yes! As a customer of Toolkit3D you will have access to live training at set up and as needed, plus a stellar customer support team. Plus access to plenty of How-To guides to reference, too.
What if I don’t need the Scan-to-Fit Design Engine?
No problem, if you already have a design engine that you know and love, but need the integrations to streamline the rest of the design and manufacturing process, we can do that! We mean it when we call ourselves agnostic.
What if I only need the Scan-to-Fit Design Engine?
Our Scan-to-Fit Design Engine is not standalone, meaning you would still need to be part of the Toolkit3D platform to benefit from it.
